Progress Knight: Ascendant Path (Ascendant Path)

Publisher: Mishmash Labs

Last updated: November 6, 2026

Mishmash Labs ("we", "us", or "our") is responsible for the information handling described in this policy. This policy covers the Ascendant Path mobile game, also referred to as Progress Knight: Ascendant Path, on Android and iOS. Only the store title fields omit the colon to meet their character limits.

You can play without creating a game account. Your journey is saved on your device. However, the game is not a "no data collected" app: advertising, purchase services, online time checks, and any support messages involve information being sent off your device.

For privacy questions or requests, contact mishmash.labs@gmail.com with the subject Ascendant Path privacy.

1. Information stored on your device

The game stores your progress, resources, achievements, story choices, preferences, and save times locally. It also keeps backup or recovery copies to help restore a journey if a save becomes unreadable or is replaced.

To measure time away fairly, the game stores elapsed-time information, including phone uptime, a restart-session identifier, and, when available, a verified online timestamp. The restart-session identifier is used to recognize whether the phone has restarted; it is not used by us as an advertising identifier.

Your game save and these local clock records are not automatically uploaded to a Mishmash Labs game server. Your operating system or device backup service may separately back up application data according to your device and account settings.

Backups and the clipboard

When you choose to copy a backup or recovery data, the game places that text on your device's clipboard. When you import a journey, it reads the text you enter. Importing replaces your current progress and may retain the previous journey for recovery.

Backup text includes game progress and preferences. It is not a password or a securely encrypted vault. Other applications, clipboard synchronization, or services you choose to paste it into may gain access under their own rules. Keep backups somewhere you trust. We receive a backup only if you choose to send it to us, such as with a support request.

2. Advertising

The free game uses Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads for banner ads and optional rewarded ads. Google says its Mobile Ads SDK automatically collects and shares information when it serves ads. This can include:

  • IP address, which can be used to infer approximate location.
  • Advertising IDs, app-set IDs, and other device- or account-related IDs.
  • App and ad interactions, such as app launches, taps, and video views.
  • App and SDK diagnostics, such as launch time, hangs, and energy use.

Google says this information is used for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. Identifier availability and ad personalization depend on platform settings, SDK configuration, and applicable consent choices. Non-personalized or limited ads can still involve data processing. Google documents its data handling in its Google Mobile Ads Play data disclosure.

The game does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, or precise GPS location for gameplay.

Rewarded ads open only when you choose the ad offer. Banners do not require choosing a rewarded ad. Fortune's Favor removes the game's ads while that purchase is recognized. It does not erase information already processed by advertising providers, remove purchase-service processing, or prevent online time checks.

Google explains its practices and controls here:

3. Purchases and purchase restoration

Fortune's Favor is an optional one-time purchase, not a subscription. Payments are handled by Apple's App Store or Google Play. We do not receive your full payment-card details.

The game uses RevenueCat to check purchases, grant access, and restore ownership. When configured, this service may be contacted even if you have not bought anything, so the game can check whether you already own the favor. RevenueCat processes purchase history for purchase functionality and analytics. Purchase-history processing is required for the purchase service to work.

Purchase processing can include an automatically generated anonymous app-user identifier, receipt or purchase-token information, transaction and product identifiers, purchase history and status, store and country/currency information, and technical information needed to communicate with the service. "Anonymous" means that no named game account is required; it does not mean that the purchase service processes no data.

We do not ask you to provide a name or email address to RevenueCat through a game account, and the game does not add advertising identifiers to RevenueCat for advertising attribution.

Purchase records are separate from journey backups. Starting a new story, importing a save, or deleting a local save does not delete store transactions or RevenueCat purchase records. Restoring purchases normally requires the same store account. Cross-store Android/iOS purchase sharing is not promised.

Provider information:

4. Online time checks

At startup and when you return to the game, it may contact https://www.google.com/generate_204 to read the response's date and help verify elapsed time. The request includes a random value to avoid a cached response. It does not include your game save, purchase identifier, or restart-session identifier.

As with an ordinary internet connection, Google receives the source IP address and connection/request information and may process them under its privacy policy. This request is for time verification, not a separate analytics service.

Core play can continue without internet. The game uses phone uptime where possible; some time away after a phone restart cannot be verified offline and may not earn offline progress.

5. Support messages

If you contact us, we receive your email address and any information you send, such as your message, device details, screenshots, purchase references, or backup text. We use this information to respond, investigate problems, process privacy requests, and keep relevant support records.

Please send only what is needed. Never send payment-card details, store passwords, or unrelated sensitive information. Email and any attachments also pass through the email providers involved in delivering and storing them.

6. Why information is processed and who receives it

We use information to provide and save the game, calculate time away, recognize purchases, show ads, respond to support requests, prevent misuse, and meet legal obligations.

Recipients can include Google and its advertising services, RevenueCat, Apple or Google as the billing platform, email providers when you contact us, and providers you choose for device backups or exported saves. They process information under their applicable terms and privacy notices. We may also disclose information when legally required or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and the service.

There is no separate standalone analytics service, social login, public player profile, or player-to-player messaging feature in this game. Advertising and billing providers can still process the usage and purchase information described above.

We do not sell your game saves or support messages for money. Advertising disclosures can nevertheless qualify as a "sale", "sharing", or targeted advertising under some privacy laws, depending on the provider's use and the configuration. Do not interpret the absence of a game account as an opt-out from advertising-related processing.

7. Legal bases where applicable

Where a law requires a legal basis, processing needed to provide requested game features, purchases, restoration, or support may be based on performing a contract with you. Service reliability, fraud prevention, and responding to requests may rely on legitimate interests, subject to your rights.

Where required, consent is the basis for optional advertising-related storage, identifiers, personalization, or tracking. A platform permission is not a substitute for any separate consent required by law. Processing needed for tax, accounting, or other legal duties may be based on a legal obligation. Consent can be withdrawn where applicable without invalidating earlier lawful processing.

8. Retention and deletion

Local progress and recovery copies remain until overwritten or removed from the device. Begin a new story replaces the active journey but can preserve the earlier journey as recovery data; it is not a complete data-erasure tool.

On Android, clearing the app's storage removes its local data. On iOS, deleting the app rather than offloading it generally removes local app data. Device backup services may retain or restore copies separately. Delete exported backups and manage operating-system backups yourself if you want those copies removed.

Support information is retained for as long as reasonably needed to resolve the request, maintain relevant records, or comply with legal requirements. Purchase records may need to remain available for restoration, fraud prevention, accounting, or legal obligations. Advertising providers, billing platforms, and other independent providers apply their own retention rules. Uninstalling the app does not automatically erase their records.

Contact us to request deletion of information we control. We will explain any applicable legal retention requirement or limitation. Deleting records needed to recognize a purchase may affect restoration; we will explain this where relevant before acting on a request.

9. Your choices and privacy rights

You can play without buying Fortune's Favor or watching rewarded ads. You can also use your device's advertising and privacy settings, including resetting or deleting an advertising identifier where supported. On iOS, tracking permission can be managed in system settings for apps that request it. Available advertising consent controls vary by region and the version of the game; device settings do not necessarily stop all ad-related processing.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; or opt out of a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising. You may also have rights to appeal a decision or complain to your local data protection authority.

Send requests to mishmash.labs@gmail.com. We may request proportionate information to verify the request, such as the relevant support correspondence or purchase reference, but not your store password. Without a named game account, we may be unable to connect a request to an anonymous purchase or an advertising provider's records without additional information.

We will respond within the time required by applicable law. You will not be penalized for exercising a privacy right. For information controlled independently by Apple, Google, or another provider, you may also need to use that provider's privacy tools or contact it directly.

10. Children

Ascendant Path is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly ask children under 13 to provide personal information directly to us. Advertising and other providers may process device information as described above; this policy does not imply that merely opening the app sends no information.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact mishmash.labs@gmail.com so we can investigate and take appropriate action, including deletion where required. Local laws may provide additional protections for older children and teenagers.

11. International processing and security

Information sent to our providers or to us may be processed outside your country, including in the United States and other countries where the providers operate. Applicable transfer protections depend on the provider, the transfer, and local law; see the providers' privacy notices for details. You can contact us about protections applicable to information we control.

The online time check uses HTTPS. Google Mobile Ads and RevenueCat describe encrypted network transport in their service documentation. Local save exports are not encrypted by the game. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so keep your device and backup copies protected.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the game's features, providers, or legal requirements change. The latest policy will show its updated date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before making a material change to the way information is used.
